Optometrist
Dr. Charanjit Sihota first discovered her passion for optometry at a young age. Her own optometrist solved her binocular vision issues, and it sparked an interest to provide the same quality of care in her community. Dr. Sihota received her Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2004. That same year she received the David J. Keiko Award of Excellence in Clinical Care. Upon graduation, she gained valuable experience in pediatrics and primary care at veterans’ hospitals in Detroit and South Dakota, as well as the Chicago National Institute for the Blind.
Born and raised in Edmonton, Dr. Sihota wanted an opportunity to give back to the community she was raised in. Becoming a founding member of Eyes Harvest Hills, just a few blocks from her childhood home, provided her with the chance to help educate and care for patients in her own neighbourhood. Over the course of her career, Dr. Sihota has taken a special interest in myopia control as well as dry eye treatments and management. With each patient, she shares her passion for eyes and takes the time to ensure every patient is equipped to make the best choices for their own ocular health and vision.
While she is away from the clinic, Dr. Sihota spends time with her husband and three children. You can find her and her family enjoying the outdoors by hiking, skiing or skating in their free time.
